Next week will see the start of our surf sports calendar, kicking off with 3 events on Super Saturday November 13th –

> Bennett Fast Fives @North Curly
> Metro Beach Series @North Narra
Then on Sunday November 14th, the Nippers hit the water at North Steyne.
Entries for these carnivals close this weekend via SEMS. Note we have capped the number of entries in the Fast Fives to ensure we can keep the carnival to a fast-flowing format. As soon as we hit the cap (which we almost have), we will stop taking any further entries. It’s a good problem to have !!

You would have to be living under a rock to not know that the 2022 State Championships will be held in our own backyard early next year. Queenscliff, North Steyne and Freshwater SLSCs will play host to what promises to be the biggest and best surf competition in years, starting with Junior Championships and moving through Lifesaving, Masters and Open Championships before closing with the always spectacular Surfboat competition. Taking place from 24 February through to 13 March, the biggest event on the NSW surf sports calendar will see members from clubs across the state compete over an extended 12 days of competition. With QLD borders locking out NSW athletes from the Coolangatta Gold, SLSNSW and Wanda SLSC will once again be holding the Bate Bay Gold, a short course endurance event. The event will take place on Saturday, 20 November 2021. For more detail on the event visit
