The current updated forecast for the weekend has improved over the past couple of days, and at this point the organising committees for this weekend’s Manly Open and Freshwater Open carnivals can confirm that the weekend’s events will proceed as per current program. The team will continue to monitor the predicted conditions, and as per normal risk management processes, they will make changes as required on the day dependant on the real time conditions.

At this stage the plan for the Freshwater Open carnival on Sunday is that it will be held at Freshwater, whilst contingency planning continues should that need to change. A final decision for the Freshwater Open carnival will be announced on Saturday morning.
